It's been a long time!!

I don't blog very much. I just really don't no what to say most of the time. Anyways, here it goes. This past weekend was my son's 2nd Birthday. We had a party for him!! He had a lot of fun. He loved his cake that I made for him. Since he is allergic to milk and eggs, I have to make him special things. This being one. The rest of the attendees had cupcakes. He got lots of neat gifts and clothes. His mimi and papa (my mom and dad) got him a swing set. This is still not at our house yet. That all happened on Sat. On Sunday, I had my girly baby shower. It was very nice. My sweet angel baby got lots of clothes and other neat things. I laughed when I read a card from my husband's aunt. "May she always be in style and matching!" She is a hoot!!! I said of course she will be!! Needless to say, she is going to be set from 0-3months!!

Tuesday night my husband was playing with our son. He jumped and when he landed he starting yelling for me and walked as fast as he could to lay flat on the couch. He hurt his back again. This time it was worse. I seriously thought that he might cry!! He would not let me take him to the hospital. So anyways, we iced it and put heat on it. He slept on his back. When he woke up yesterday, he could barely walk. I told him to call the chiropractor. He did and he went and they did tons of treatment on him. She said that he has a pinched nerve and the joint between the inside of his leg and his hip is out of wack!! So he goes back today and tomorrow. Then 3 times next week. By then, she said that he should feel back to his ole' self!! Yesterday, my mom, my son, and I went to my OB dr in St louis. They said that the baby is fine. I might have a bladder infection but they checked that and they are supposed to let me know if I do. I don't feel like it right now!! Otherwise, he said that everything looks great and she is really low in my pelvis. That would explain all of the pain there. I go next week to my other OB dr and she is going to do a growth scan ultrasound. I can't wait. I want to see how much they think she weighs. Other than that, I have been busy finishing the Thank you cards from the shower and making invites to my brother and sis in law's bridal shower. I am kinda in charge of that. I have too much on my plate. I am getting help from my sister though. I will be glad when that is over with. I have washed and put away every piece of clothing and blanket in my sweet angel's room. We are set. Now I am just waiting on my diaper bag so that I can pack it and get it ready for the hospital. If I could ever figure out how to download pics on here, I will include some pics of things that I talk about. If anyone knows how to explain it to me, let me know!!

I am glad Farmwife's kids made it through their surgeries!! Good luck!!

Well I haven't blogged in awhile!!

Here we go. Today is a gloomy day in Missouri. The clouds are out and stormy weather is in the air. Yesterday it was in the upper 70s and wonderful. My son and I took a walk and went to see daddy at his bank. It is like 2 blks from where we live. My son loved it. Then we came back home and played in the dirt. He loves the dirt.

I have been really busy this past weekend. I got my angel baby's room all done. I also got my son's room done. If i knew how to download pics onto her, I would show some. Anyways, I also am finding a new found hobby. I am going to start making some hair bows that clip onto the headbands for girl babies-toddlers. they also can just be put into a little girls hair.

I am also getting ready for my son's birthday party. He is going to be 2. WOw, that is hard to believe. The day after that, my friend and my mom are throwing me a baby shower. I also picked up a bassinet yesterday that a really nice friend gave to me. She had triplets and is done having kids. So she gave this white wicker bassinet to me. We never had one with my son. He slept in bed with us. She will be too small, I imagine, to sleep with us. We might let her when she gets older. It is soooo much easier for the baby and me. We all get sleep. With my son, I would nurse him and fall asleep and so would he. I was there for him all night long. We would sleep until 8:ooam. When he was about 8months old, we put him in his own bed and stopped the nighttime nursings. It was tough for both of us. He finally got the hang of it. With her, we will just have to see how things go and what type of baby she is!!

Good News on the homefront. I had an MRI a week ago. I called for the results. THere is now sign of recurrence in the pelvic region. Husband and I were very excited about that. They also schedule the csection for May 21st. 9weeks away!!!! I am soo excited for this time to fly by and for her to be here. She is doing great. Her heartrate was in the 160s and as of last week, she was already 2lbs 2 oz. They will do growth scan ultrasounds periodically to ck on her. I am doing great. I am not gaining as much weight with her as I did with my son. That is a plus!! One thing that I was impressed by when we met with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Dr. (Dr that is going to deliver her) was that he suggest that I take along with my vitamins either fish oil, flax oil, or Expecta DHA Lipil capsules. These all contain Omega 3 Fatty Acids. These are great for baby's brain developement!!! I was suprised that he suggested taking this. I have never been told that. I was always afraid to take my flax oil!!

Well, I think that is enough updating for now. I will try to get on her more often. Oh yeah, my son is now obsessed with playdough I have to roll it into a ball and her carries it around all day!!!

Yesterday was a good day!!

Yesterday, I just keep wanting to clean everything. I guess it is the pretty sunshine that is peeping through the windows. It just puts me in a good mood. I get bored if I just sit around. I cleaned out the cabinets and swept the floor in all the rooms. We have wood floors throughout the whole house. Then, I went into my son's room and I painted on one wall the lyrics to "Take me out to the ballgame." This was really fun, but boy was I tired afterwards. My son was really good the whole time. He just played with all of his toys in his room. He only plays in his room if someone is in there too!! By the time I was done with that, I had enough time to watch a rerun of Beverly Hills 90210. Then, I washed my hair and got ready for my meeting. I am an Independent Consultant for a company who sells spa products and makeup. I pamper women. I had not seen any of these women for probably 2 months now. It was exciting to see my director and to see the new products and find out what is going on now. That got over about 9:00pm. I came home and was hoping that my husband would have started putting the crib up. He didn't, however, he did move a bookcase, wash dishes, and take care of our son. So, I kindly pouted around. Meaning hint, hint, I want the crib up. He waited about 20 min. Then he began bringing up the pieces of the crib into our angel baby's room. It took him no time to put it together. Then he helped me put all of the bedding in it. Can I just say, "It is so girly and cute!!" I can't wait for her to be here and see her in it. I know that she won't be in it for awhile. She will probably sleep in a bassinet beside our bed for awhile or in our bed!! We have not decided if we want to do that with her. It worked for my son. He did not have a horrible time transitioning. It took him a few days of crying. But he did it. Anyways, we got a lot done yesterday and still have more to accomplish.

You are my Sunshine.....

First of all, I am doing pretty good. I am getting around just great. I still can't lift my son. We will be going back to the dr next week to see a neonatologist, oncologist, get an ultrasound, see the maternal fetal medicine dr, and finally another MRI!!!

The sun is shining bright and early this morning. My son told me when he woke up, "Sunny." He is starting to learn a lot of words that end in Y. He now says mommy instead of mama. I think this new profound way of saying it is just so cute. He is getting so big. I can't believe that in just one month he is going to be 2 years old!!!! I can't believe that my baby is 2. Yesterday, I took him outside and he discovered that he likes playing with dirt. I taught him how to play with his cars in it. Just like a boy, he wipes his hands on his jacket and pants. He also seems to plot himself right down in the dirt to play. I told my husband that he needs a sandbox for his birthday. I think that he would really love it.

I am trying to get the house ready before I have this baby. I know it is another 2 more months but, I would rather get an early start. My dad and my husband painted my little angel baby's room a week ago. It is PINK!!! (I am going to refer to her as my angel because she basically saved my life. If I had not been pregnant, they probably would have not found that mass.)
So, I washed all the new crib set to get it ready for the crib. So far there is no crib up. Husband said that he will get it up by Sunday. I am going to hold him to that. Yesterday, I painted small letters for my sweet angel baby's name and put them on foam board and decorated it. i have yet to put ribbon on them to hang them up. But, I was impressed with my creativity yesterday. Once that is done, her room will be all done!!
My son's room is a sports theme. He loves any type of sports. I need to paint some things on his walls yet. I painted his wood letters primary colors the other day. I am going to attach ribbon and hang them from a bat. I will then anchor the bat on his wall. I know, I know, creativity strikes again!! LOL!! These are the only 2 rooms that need to be done. My brother is getting married June 2. My whole family on my mom's side is coming in. Some out of town friends as well. So, I am trying to get all of that done so they can see my house for the first time.

I had a great weekend. My husband finally ordered his wedding band. This is a man who never took his off. We went to a creek last year with our friends. My husband was holding our son. We got in the car to leave, and he noticed that it was gone. I thought that he was going to cry, he was so upset. He felt really bad. I eventually got over it. I now demanded that he get one before we have this baby!!! So there you go, he ordered one.

Good news for once!!!

Today we received pretty good news at the dr's office. He said that yes, there are cancerous cells in the mass. There were 3 different types of cells, a low malignant cell, a germ cell, and a benign cell. He said that it is very rare to have all 3. The pathologists were excited to see this because it is so rare. However, the dr said that we will take the baby at 36 weeks up there in st louis. While they are in there doing the csection, my dr will remove the left fallopian tube and some lymph nodes and some tissue. This is all a precaution because it was cancerous. However, he said that this is a self contained mass and he believes that it is in its 1st stage. Which means that the only thing that needs to be done was the removal of the ovary, the mass, and the other parts during the csection. Now, if something comes back from the pathology report from the other things, then maybe they will take further action. But he feels since it is self contained that there should be no other need for further treatment. They will just continue to watch me every so many months after the csection. So, this is good news for us, we were expecting worse but hoping for the best. The baby girl is doing just fine and dandy. She has been kicking mommy all day long. I guess she got mad from them taking out my staples today. There was like 30 staples inside of me.

Anyways, I want to thank everyone for their prayers. They have truly been answered. I am sure that the prayers will continue. If anyone has any prayer request please let me know. I would be happy to answer them and return the favor!!
Thanks everyone!!!!

Hello everyone!!

Everyone here is my update. I was trying to get on here the other day and the computer went all weird on me. Well, anyways, I came home Saturday afternoon. It was wonderful to be home and to see my little boy and husband again. I felt really special in the hospital, it was my birthday when I was there. I got tons of flowers and balloons!! It was very exciting. My son was scared to see me in there. They had not taken my IV out and the nurse came in to listen to the little girl. He saw my staples "ouchie" as he now calls it and started crying and wanted to leave. NOw that we are home, I let him touch it and told him that the baby was still in there and mommy was okay. So he is fine now. The first thing I heard when I got out of surgery was the baby's heartrate is good. That sounded like the best news in the world that she survived the surgery!! Then I heard that I had a left oopherectomy. This means that they took out the ovary and the mass. He said that everything looked good but did not want to be in there very long because of the baby. I talked to one of his residents and she said that the other resident that I met said that he was in awe watching over the baby when they had me open. It is something that they don't get to see very often. He got to see her moving around in the uterus. After surgery the dr came in to talk to me and my family. He said that the frozen section that they took showed abnormal cells. It was rare because it could not tell anything else. Husband and I are going to see the dr tomorrow to see what the pathology report found and to get out these staples. They cut me from and inch above my belly button, around the button and all the way down to my csection scar!!Pretty big cut. I assured the dr that my stomach has not seen a bikini since prebaby anyways, and has never seen it since. So not a problem!!! Anways, we are trying to keep a positive outlook. Depending on the outcome and treatments I will have to undergo, they might have to take the baby at 34-36 wks. Just depends. I will know more tomorrow!! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. My family and I really appreciate them.

Thank- you in the utmost sincere way possible!!!

Bad news!!

Well, everyone, husband and I went to St Louis yesterday. We left at 6:30 and got home around 8:00pm. At the ultrasound, the dr said that it is an ovarian mass. She said that it is more than likely a cancerous one. She said that if it is we will have to have surgery right away. There is only a 5% chance of preterm labor when surgery is done during pregnancy. I know that is only a small percentage but still very scary. I had to get blood work and an MRI done yesterday. The MRI showed that it is definately not a fibroid. Which is what I was wanting it to be. So, husband and I are going back tomorrow morning to see the OBGYN Oncologist. We are probably discussing surgery and what happens after I have the baby. I don't know if there is any hope that it can still be benign. I will have to ask the dr tomorrow. I cried all day yesterday off and on. Luckily my husband is being very strong eventhough I know that he is probably crying inside. I just keep thinking to myself that I am so young and I am going to have 2 young children. I don't want to be away from them. I definately don't want to be without them or them without me. I always think the worse of the situation but I can't help it. Anyways, this is not a very good Valentines day present or 25th Birthday present!!
Please everyone keep praying for me and my family!!
